You are not special..

This may sound like a harsh way to start this but honestly this is one of the most freeing sentences you can hear.

I know because it was said to me when I was going through a very dark spell but a counsellor.

Right now there is going to be a number of reasons that you are not where you want to be with your fitness and they are totally valid reasons, I’m not saying otherwise

BUT…

For 99% of people, those reasons you have, there is someone else in this world with the exact same reasons but hitting their goals.

This puts it down to 2 main factors

  • Knowledge

  • Application/Attitude

Application or attitude can only come down to you. No motivation, no incredible trainer, nothing else can affect this 100% other than YOU.

Knowledge - this can come down to knowledge of what to do in the gym or how to train. Or even the knowledge that you don’t need to train as much as you think. You feel you don’t have enough money to eat healthy, there are great people on instagram who make easy and cheap meals (I highly recommend following @mich_foodandfitness for this.

We live in a world where information is at our finger tips and whilst there is so much bollocks out there if you look in the right place, looking after your fitness has never been easier.

Remember, not being special means you are capable despite adversities and this is a huge positive. You can take control, you can get results, you can do this!
