Find Your Fit

We’re coming up to the New Year and trainers and gyms everywhere are going to be saying their methods are the BEST!

Whilst they may truly believe this, everyone is different.

What you enjoy doing and can stay consistent with is different.

This goes for everything, take me for example - 11 years in insurance and I was a mixed bag at best. I recently asked my old manager to sum up my time in insurance for a future project and here’s a small part of what he said

The second time I worked with Anthony was after he returned to the company after spending a couple of years I believe working for a different company in London. It was immediately obvious that he had matured but he still had his mischievous side and would often look for shortcuts to make his work easier. He was working better than the previous occasion but I think it was clear to everyone – including himself if he was being honest – that he was not wired to spend his life in an office role.”

He was spot on, I am not wired to sit down at a desk for hours on end. I enjoy moving, it keeps my focus better and I was not passionate about it.

Fast forward nearly 3 years from my insurance career and I’ve turned out to be a pretty good personal trainer and why?

Because I found my fit.

So my challenge to you is if you are someone who has never found their fitness passion, in the words of Ted Lasso, BE CURIOUS.

Gyms and sports clubs will often offer trials, some free or for a reduced price.

Let 2025 be the year you find your fit
