Be more like Karl...

I’ve just got back from watching my friend finish 60km of running round a 400m track. He done this without any real training having decided to do this only 3 weeks ago.

Now.. this isn’t the part to be more like Karl as I do not recommend doing that with no training but what he has done can teach us two things.

1) Having a challenge can lead to incredible motivation - if this is something you struggle with booking an event like a 10k, Hyrox or even some other charity event which will keep you accountable

2) Our bodies are often held back by our mind. It is through sheer will that Karl made it, on the face of it there shouldn’t be a way of him running that distance but his mental strength

We are the architect of our own successes and failures and usually these battles are won in the brain

SANTA FUN RUN

So you are the first to hear the full details!

Sunday 8th December, 7pm starting @ The Lions Den, Bishopgate we will be embarking on a run approximately 5km to raise money for a friend of mine. We will encourage Santa hats or something festive as well as lights and music finishing at the Lions Den outside the Red Lion Bishopgate where they serve hot chocolates, mulled wine, marshmellows for toasting and more in a lovely outdoor area with fire pits, blankets and hot water bottles.

Rosie has Gorham Stouts Disease which means her bones are crumbling and she currently has half a pelvis and crushed fractures in her spine meaning she is wheelchair bound.

But this has not stopped her following her passion of Powerchair football and this year her team became the first English team to win the European Champions League.

As a result they have been invited to the Club World Championships which is being held in France but to get there she needs to raise £1,500.

This last year has been particularly bad for her after marrying her husband on his death bed.

I want to be able to give her memories of a lifetime.

This is not an official running event, this is just people getting together, having fun, and raising money with hot chocolates after. You don’t need to be a quick runner, just come for the fun!
